The 2019 Annual Meeting of the American Anthropological Association is set to take place in Vancouver, B.C. November 20-24th. The key dates have been a little different this year, with a very early call for Executive Session Panels (closed Feb 7) and general submissions accepted now through April 10th. Two additional dates to keep in mind are March 20th (deadline for early-bird discounted registration, saving you about $15, or $4 for a student) and April 5th, the deadline for beginning a submission online.
As with last year, the AALCIG Program Committee will be able to select one panel to be named our group’s invited session
#AmAnth2018 invited session details
If you would like to be considered for our 2019 invited session, please send us your panel abstract, any individual paper abstracts, participant list, affiliations, and organizer contact information. The invited panel should showcase some aspect of the groundbreaking, timely, original and interesting research on ageing and the life course in a way that connects with broader themes in anthropology. In the past we have selected excellent sessions organized by graduate students, so don’t hesitate if you think you are not senior enough!
The Interest Group will need to notify the Executive Committee panel before the submission process is completed and they will review the session. Please send this to us no later than March 15th.
